Mighty Movers

This class introduces the fundamentals of movement. Coordination, balance and rhythm are some of the skills we explore. Our classroom etiquette and social skills are also established. We’ll practice listening, turn-taking, following directions and sharing!
*Note: Placement classes are held by staff each semester for ballet. This assists in guidance for proper class enrollment per level.

Beginning/Intermediate Ballet

This is a wonderful transition for graduates of our Intro to Ballet Class!
Dancers build upon basic ballet fundamentals and progress toward learning additional technical skills, terminology and understanding of the structure of a ballet class. Once fundamentals are learned, dancers will progress their knowledge and progress toward increasing the difficulty level of skills and execution.
Tween/Teen Ballet
Ages 11-18
Monday 5:30pm-6:30pm Studio Cyan
Dancers build upon basic ballet fundamentals and progress toward learning additional technical skills, terminology and understanding of the structure of a ballet class. Once fundamentals are learned, dancers will progress their knowledge and progress toward increasing the difficulty level of skills and execution.
Advanced Ballet

Students must have Intermediate Ballet experience. Dancers will build upon intermediate level knowledge and progress into a high degree of difficulty in skills and execution.
Adult Ballet

Introduction to Jazz

Beginner/Intermediate Modern & Jazz
Ages 8-11

Students must be enrolled in Beginner/intermediate Ballet.
This high energy class introduces jazz techniques and musicality. Dancers learn the basic steps of jazz: turns, kicks, and leaps. They will discover simple rhythm techniques and expression while enjoying fun and age-appropriate music. Once beginner concepts are learned, dancers explore more difficult rhythms, sequencing and skill progressions.
Advanced Jazz
Ages 12+

Students must be enrolled in Intermediate or Advanced Ballet.

What Is Modern Dance? It is a very expressive style of dance that doesn’t follow the strict and rigid guidelines and techniques of classical ballet.
Simply put, ballet teaches dancers to establish lines in the body and modern teaches dancers how to curve and manipulate the lines! Modern techniques, skills and concepts we explore include - and are not limited to - Graham, Limon and Horton.
Beginning/Intermediate Modern

Students must be enrolled in Beginner/intermediate Ballet. Dancers will combine beginning level knowledge with new progression into increasingly difficult skills, concepts and execution.

Movement Meditation/Improvisation
Age 8-11

A class where young movement artists will enjoy the freedom of exploring new, unique, and creative ways to express themselves, find inspiration from instructor guidance using effective prompts and visualizations. Discover a positive, non-intimidating improvisation experience that decreases stress and builds self-confidence for dance and for life!
ME! (Movement for Everyone!) Class

Do you have a special needs child or adult in your life who loves to dance?! Our ME! Class (Movement For Everyone!) is for artists with Down Syndrome, Autism and other developmental disabilities. Artists will have tons of fun and make new friends while gaining balance of their body halves, developing muscle control, and expressing emotion.
ME! is an awesome way for young people with special needs to get involved in an extracurricular activity while improving motor skills, confidence, and socialization. Dance is a joyful, unique and effective as a way to reach students with alternative needs due to the nonverbal nature of the art form. Through creative movement, improvisation guidance, simple patterns, sequencing, and repetition, students will learn the fundamentals of movement, rhythm, and dance.
We invite accompanying companions to join class so the artists feel supported and comfortable navigating interactions with new people and experiences in a new environment.
